Tranquebar is 15 km south of the ancient Chola port of Pumpuhar and would make a good base for visiting the temples at Kumbakonam and Tanjore. This eight room hotel is owned by the Neemrana Group. The restored 17th century building was part of the Danish settlement in this area between 1620 and 1845.
