VARKALA is Kerala’s second most popular beach resort and is just over an hour from Trivandrum Airport. There is a string of bars and small restaurants along the cliff top and a variety of shops and tailors in the village. The beach is at the bottom of a very steep cliff and although there are steps, Varkala is not really suitable for people with mobility problems.
