WAYANAD is a rainforest area in the Malabar section of the Western Ghats. Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere which also incorporates Bandipur National Park in Karnataka and Mudumalai Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu. From this area it is possible to visit Sultan’s Battery, Pookote Lake and Edakkal Caves.
