CLASSIC KERALA
This tour is a great introduction to Kerala as it includes
Cochin, the hill station of Munnar, the Wildlife Sanctuary
at Periyar, the backwaters (both at a resort and on a
houseboat) and the beach. Because it includes the main
highlights of Kerala there is a wide range of hotels at all
places. We are therefore able to offer this tour in a
variety of budgets (including a version using ‘boutique’
hotels).

DAY 1
Arrive Cochin Airport. Transfer to Fort Cochin for two
nights.
DAY 2
City tour during the day and attend a Kathakali performance
in the evening.
DAY 3
Transfer to Kerala’s highest hill station and tea growing
area. Two nights in Munnar.
DAY 4
Full day in Munnar to explore or take part in local
activities.
DAY 5
Transfer to Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary). Three
nights at Thekkady.
DAYS 6-7
Two full days in the area. We include a soft trek and a
plantation visit. There are numerous activities offered
within the park and surrounding area so you have a day free
to decide what you would like to do.
DAY 8
Transfer to the backwaters. Two nights at a backwater
resort.
DAY 9
Full day in the area. Relax or join activities offered by
your hotel.
DAY 10
A houseboat will collect you from the resort. Rest of the
day spent cruising the backwaters in your exclusive
houseboat. Two nights on the houseboat.
DAY 11
Full day cruising the backwaters.
DAY 12
Transfer to the beach. Three nights at the beach.
DAYS 12 – 14
Relaxing at a beach resort.
DAY 15
Transfer to airport to fly home. |
