KERALA BUDGET HOLIDAY – A RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL HOLIDAY
If you have always wanted to visit the southern Indian state of Kerala but have a limited budget we have devised a holiday using guesthouses and homestays in order to keep the tour reasonably priced. All properties have en-suite facilities but they may lack other facilities such as swimming pools, air-conditioning etc. A fourteen night tour of Kerala (including a night on a houseboat) with transfers in a private car for under £1,000 per person puts this tour in the range of many more people – and there are some very reasonably priced airfares being offered as well. So… what are you waiting for?
Detailed itinerary on request.

DAY 1
Arrive Cochin Airport and transfer to the harbour city of Cochin. Two nights in Cochin staying at Walton’s Homestay.

DAY 3
Transfer to a farm at Kodikulam in the Western Ghat foothills. Two nights staying at Dewalokam.

Suggested adaptations to this tour

Kerala Budget Tour £946.00
  • The prices given are based on a typical high season price. During the peak season the rates will be higher; during the summer they may be lower.
  • The prices above are per person based on two people travelling together and sharing a double/twin room.
  • Please note that our prices do not include the costs of international flights to and from the destination. Airfares are on application.
  • Prices for single occupancy, more than two people travelling together, adaptations to the suggested tours and tailor-made tours on application.
  • Treat yourself to the odd upgrade. Our suggestions would be on arrival at Cochin where there is a range of lovely heritage hotels and at the beach (as it is nice to end on a high).

  • If you are interested in birds add Thattekkad – this is a great bird sanctuary and we can suggest some very reasonably priced accommodation here.

  • Add or swap to include Vagamon – this is off the beaten track and offers the opportunity to stay on a farm – Vanilla County.

  • Add or swap to include Pathanamthitta – also off the beaten track and an opportunity to learn to cook.

  • Add or swap to include Madurai – there is now a great resort to stay at in this area that is very well priced – Kadambavanam.
