The Chittaranjan Palace was originally built for Mysore's princesses and is now a delightful small hotel. The historic building was sympathetically restored by a UK charity and the hotel is a model of sustainable tourism. The hotel has won a number of environmental awards and all profits are distributed to charitable and environmental projects in India. Note - due to their environmental policies there is no air-conditioning or a generator at this hotel.
