This resort claims to be India’s only 100% eco resort. They are almost completely self-sufficient - generating their own power (up to 80% of their electricity), harvesting their own water, processing all their own waste and growing all their own organic vegetables. Accommodation is in simple rooms based on a village design. Facilities include a spa (using ingredients extracted from medicinal plants grown on site) a swimming pool (that is cleaned using aquatic plants rather than chemicals). Activities on offer include learning to drive a Bullock Cart, ploughing a field with a pair of bullocks, milking a cow etc. Our Native Village is north of Bangalore – less than an hour from the new airport.
