FORT TIRACOL
TIRACOL, NORTH GOA
Mid Range, Heritage, Boutique
This unusual hotel is situated on the northern
(Maharashtra) side of the Tiracol River, which forms
part of Goa’s northern border. Access from the rest of
Goa is via a ferry that runs regularly throughout the
day. Despite the restrictions imposed when trying to
convert a fort to a hotel there is nothing austere about
the seven rooms here
(including 2 suites). The views across the estuary and
along the coast are superb. There is no swimming pool
and access to a beach in either Goa or Maharashtra is by
car (arranged by the hotel). This hotel is just under an
hour from the airport. Facilities:
- Restaurant
- Private speed boat
