Arrive Cochin Airport. Transfer to Fort Cochin. Three
nights in Cochin.
Days 2 - 3
In Cochin. Time free to relax/explore/shop.
Day 4
Transfer to Thekkady (Periyar). Two nights in Periyar.
Day 5
Day at leisure.
Day 6
Transfer to Alleppey beach area. Rest of the day at
leisure. Two nights in Alleppey.
Day 7
Day at leisure.
Day 8
Transfer to the Alleppey boat jetty. Board your houseboat
and cruise the backwaters. Two nights on a houseboat.
Day 9
Cruising the backwaters on your exclusive houseboat.
Day 10
Transfer to the Kanam Estate in the foothills of the
Western Ghats. Rest of the day at leisure. Two nights at
Kanam.
Day 11
Day at leisure.
Day 12
Transfer to Pulinkudi beach area. Rest of the day at
leisure. Three nights at the beach.
Days 13 - 14
At leisure.
Day 15
Transfer to Trivandrum Airport for flight home.

A TASTE OF KERALA
This tour offers the best of Kerala with numerous hands-on
opportunities to learn how to make traditional South Indian
meals. It also offers other activities so your travelling
companion does not have to be interested in cookery. The
tour can be adapted for vegetarian diets. Detailed
itinerary available on request.
Day 1
Arrive Trivandrum Airport. Transfer to Varkala for two
nights.
Day 2
Cookery discussion and demonstration featuring typical
Hindu preparations.
Day 3
Transfer to Alleppey. Board houseboat and cruise the
backwaters. One night on houseboat.
Day 4
After breakfast disembark from houseboat at Kumarakom. Rest
of the day at leisure. Evening cookery demonstration. Two
nights at Kumarakom.
Day 5
Day at leisure. Opportunity to visit a farm on a backwater
island (to be arranged locally). Evening cookery
demonstration.
Day 6
Transfer to Thekkady. Rest of the day at leisure. Evening
cookery demonstration. Two nights in Thekkady.
Day 7
In Thekkady. Morning - soft trek in the forest. Afternoon -
guided spice plantation visit. Evening cookery
demonstration.
Day 8
Transfer to Munnar. Visit local fruit and vegetable market.
Two nights in Munnar.
Day 9
Hands on cookery lesson with the hotel chef. Various dishes
may be cooked in hotel's kitchen.
Day 10
Transfer to Kothamangalam. Cookery lessons featuring
typical home cooked dishes. Two nights in Kothamangalam.
Day 11
In Kothamangalam. Optional early morning visit to
Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary. Further cookery lessons.
Day 12
Transfer to Cochin. Visit to spice market in Jew Town.
Cookery lesson in private house. Three nights in Cochin.
Day 13
Half day guided tour of city. Sunset harbour cruise.
Day 14
Opportunity to relax/shop/explore.
Day 15
Tour ends. Transfer to Cochin Airport.
